Owner Operator Overview

            StageLine Express hauls time-sensitive and temperature-sensitive freight primarily between Michigan, Utah, and California for a diverse customer base.  The company maintains a fleet of late-model Kenworth tractors and late-model 53-foot air-ride refrigerated trailers.  We welcome owner-operator solo or team drivers to join us.  We Treat You Right!

 

Owner Operator program:

  • Solo tractors earn $0.88 per linehaul mile for all loaded dispatched miles and $0.85 per deadhead mile PLUS fuel surcharge, picks/drops, and detention pay.
  • Solos average 3,200 legal miles per week and gross up to $160,000 per year.
  • Teams tractors earn $0.90 per linehaul mile for all loaded dispatched miles  and $0.87 per deadhead mile PLUS fuel surcharge, picks/drops, and detention pay.
  • Teams average 6,500 legal miles per week and gross up to $290,000 per year.
  • $30 for each pickup or delivery after the first & $20/hr after 4 hrs. unloading detention.
  • PC Miler practical miles for settlement calculation
  • Great fuel surcharge reimbursement program!
  • $400 referral bonus for finding new owner operators!
  • Liability and cargo insurance included!
  • State permits included! (“2290” federal excise tax and IRP not included)
  • All loading & unloading paid!
  • “Pre-Pass” scale bypass units available at approx. $15/month

Driver Requirements:

  • Class A commercial driver’s license with 2 yrs OTR experience
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • No more than 4 traffic violations in last 3 years
  • No major preventable accidents, reckless driving, or alcohol convictions in last 5 years
  • Pass DOT physical, drug screen, & road test
  • Equipment must pass StageLine safety inspection
